BOOK APPOINTMENT

Welcome to Well + Mortal.

A landing place for the wellness-weary.
Where
wellness isn’t a performance or a product; it’s a practice of relationship
(the one between you and you).

“Let's help your body make sense”

Jill Bodak

How did we get here?

Well+ Mortal was born out of twelve years of clinical practice and thousands of appointments with people who, in one way or another, wanted the same three things:

Clinic

Osteopathic Care
Hands-on care helps solve issues with our body we just can’t sort out on our own. An Osteopath can give you hands on help, an objective perspective and a kind of leverage and thought process we just can’t do for ourselves. Book a session or explore our guide, “What is Osteopathy?” to learn how this work supports the body in living and moving well.

Moving

Courses & Workshops
This space is Osteopathy on the move! We translate osteopathic principles into how you move yourself around each day: from sitting, sleeping and walking to the more complex things we want our body to do, like run, lift weights, kite board or play pickleball. We work on body-literacy, home hygiene movement practices and concepts for moving in your body that start super small- and grow as we learn more. Check out the full spread of course offerings coming soon.

Free Content

Writing

Guides, Articles & Media
Through newsletters, blog posts, and videos, let's extend our body-literacy into the things we watch and read.  Everything here aims to make complex ideas accessible, from breathing techniques, to biomechanics, to the physiology of feelings- There will be case studies from the clinic, concepts about movement and even book club discussions about mainstream wellness writers and what they contribute to what it means to be well.

Speaking

& Facilitating
The best part of all this learning is when we get to talk about it. Well + Mortal works out in the community through keynotes, panel discussions and workshops that reframe wellness as embodied presence rather than perfection. Topics include our favourite question, “What does it mean to be well?” along with other deep dives into the realities of living in a human body, like: caregiving, grief, end-of-life choice, and the bodies navigating these experiences. These events are curious, honest and deep.
